We believe that the call for progressive public policy and the call for participatory democracy are one and the same; we cannot have one without the other.

SMART ALEC strives to include members of the public, especially low-income and homeless people, in the development of our policy solutions.

One of the ways we have done this is through our Homeless and Low-Income Empowerment Program.
